Description:

This newly-founded project aims to support the next Administration in identifying top-level candidates for key positions that impact policy on immigration and public diplomacy issues.

Benefiting from the input of NGOs working in immigration, public diplomacy, international education, higher education, and foreign policy, the Project will put forward a series of resumes well-matched to key White House and agency jobs by identifying, recommending and supporting top-level candidates with global understanding.

With the belief that fair-minded immigration and international openness are essential to our economic well-being, our national security, and importantly, our cultural heritage, the Project will serve as a talent bank in identifying candidates who appreciate diversity; understand the importance of balancing immigration enforcement with civil liberties and human rights, and will make it a priority to enhance the U.S. position on the global stage by increasing mutual understanding among nations. It has as a central tenet the belief that the United States' interests are interconnected with the world's interests, and that we ignore that fact at our peril.

The Immigration and Public Diplomacy Appointments Project will do all it can to press for qualified candidates to be considered by the Transition Team of the next Administration. However, submitting an application through this process cannot guarantee nomination or appointment – all interested parties should continue to take all steps to advocate on their own behalf as well. All names put forward will be considered confidential by the Project.
