Adm. Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will address the National Press Club on July 8 about recent developments in U.S. national security and priorities going forward. Event Description

Adm. Mullen plans to speak about how to best accomplish U.S. objectives in the Middle East; how to revitalize the U.S. armed forces after several years of war; and how to position the U.S. military to be ready to face a range of threats now and in the future. The National Press Club breakfast will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. Adm. Mullen's remarks begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a question and answer session.
